Happy Thanksgiving from Perth Amboy Artworks! We wish you and your family a happy holiday. On this holiday of gratitude we are grateful for the sacrifices people are making to beat back the virus by sharing a holiday at home with small groups and virtual gatherings. We are thankful for everyone who risked so much to make possible the coming vaccine and have deep gratitude for the healthcare workers still on the frontlines as the virus surges across the country. We are thankful for you wearing a mask and social distancing to protect yourself and others. And we are thankful for neighbors helping neighbors in these hard times, when families are mourning the loss of loved ones and experiencing health and financial problems.

Perth Amboy Artworks Online Music Series featuring Segunda Quimbamba Sat Sept 19th at 5pm

Join us on Saturday September 19 from 5-7pm for the season finale of Perth Amboy Artworks online music series featuring Segunda Quimbamba, the celebrated dance and drum ensemble that perform authentic bomba and plena, the vibrant drum music of Puerto Rico!! Segunda Quimbamba is directed by Juan Cartagena who is recognized as a Master Folk Artist by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. The band has been doing this show for the past 3 years and this is always the biggest show of the year! Though we cannot gather together this year, we can still get together online and be inspired by Segunda Quimbamba! Watch them live online on the Perth Amboy Artworks Facebook page. Intermission set by Bodega Satellite.

Grant funding has been provided by the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders through a grant award from the Middlesex County Cultural and Arts Trust Fund.

The Perth Amboy Artworks Stay Home Fest #2 was a blast.
